In Focus : DIG Deep Trail Ultra 30 Peak District
Considered by many to be a perfect introduction to the world of ultra running, the Trail Ultra 30 also has the potential to be a fast run for those of fleeter foot. Thirty miles, with four notable climbs – the steady rise up to Stanage, the lovely Win Hill climb via Parkin Clough, the ascent of Bradwell Edge (after a nice stop off at the sports pavilion for cake) and the final run up to the iron age fort of Carl Wark. The route rejoins the Trail Ultra 60 in Bradwell, meaning you could be running alongside people who have run twice the distance.
Every finisher of the Trail Ultra 30 will receive a medal and race tee, alongside access to well stocked feed stations and a meal when you have crossed the finish line.
